Dinners' Program Initiates Change in Children |
I have noticed a big difference in my grandchildren's eating habits with the meals. They seem to have a better understanding of what meal time is. We all sit together and each time they get to pick what meal they are going to eat. They learn to help the smaller kids at meal time, and they like ito help my daughter. When making other meals, they get more of a variety and they learn to try new things, They used to say they're not eating, and my daughter used to waste a lot of food. Now the children really look forward to their meals. My smallest one loves to try the foods that are sent or that mom makes for them. They have learned more about good meals and bad meals. Their sleeping habitis have improved, and they seem more alert all day long when they have a balanced diet. Thank you so much for your help!

From the Aunt of Children in the Program |
I have been living with the children for some time now, and I have seen such a difference in the kids since you have stepped into their lives with your program. The kids used to come home from school and grab anything that was here. Now they come home and wait to see what you have to offer them. They don't look for junk food anymore, and they understand what a well-balanced meal is. From this, the oldest child wants to learn how to help out and cook good food like this. The little ones try different foods now. They all have a very good understanding what a well balanced meal can do for them.
They are sleeping better. They also go to school and pay better attention in class. They all loook like a new family, they're doing more things together, and for example, they all eat at once. They have time for family. Their mother doesn't have so much pressure on her now. She doesn't have to come home and try to see what she can get cooked. The kids learn things in school about good eating habits, but now they can see the difference at home. I see the kids looking better and making better choices in what to eat. Thank You for coming into their lives and helping them out. God Bless You for doing what you do!

Full-Time Student With Family Has Hope |
THANK YOU!!!!
After speaking to the founder of this wonderful program today, I found myself feeling full of hope. I realized that there are people who genuinely care about the children of our community.
I was asked to share some feedback and give a few suggestions on how to make the program better. The program is wonderful the way it is. I have nothing but great things to say about the prepared meals and the generosity of everyone involved. I, like many other mothers, do the best I can to ensure a healthy and rich life for my children. Unfortunately, giving children a great life can be very time consuming for many parents.
I am a full-time student and work a full-time job. This opportunity has given my family and I more time together (instead of running around a kitchen to prepare a meal), balanced meals for my children, extra money to spend on healthier choices at the grocery store, and a little less stress on my husband and I. I thank everyone involved with this generous program and hope someday I can give back in such a way that you wonderful people have given to my family.

A Single Mom Tells Her Story |
I am a single mother with five children, ages 1 to 12, living on a fixed income and do not receive food stamps. With this program, I do not have to choose between paying bills, food, diapers, clothing, coats, shoes, etc. My children are calmer, they do not complain of being hungry, there is less stress in the home, they are eating healthier meals and they aren't filling up on junk food. My three-year old's face lights up to the man with the meals at the door. They're more willing to try new foods, and sit as a family at the table. They even talk about their day instead of one sitting on the computer, another doing something else, and so on. I can't tell you what this program means to our family. Thanks so much!

I am writing this letter today to say "thank you" so much for the meals we receive. The kids are very grateful for a hot meal! This year the kids have had it really hard. They have been put in my custody and the meals help me, their grandmother, because I live on a fixed income. Knowing the meals are coming is such a relief. I hope the program continues. It means so much knowing the kids are going to have a hot meal, and the meals are delicious! The kids say Thank you so much also. We again are so grateful!
